    About Galaxy International School Uganda (GISU)

    Galaxy International School Uganda is a co-educational international school located in Kampala. We offer the Cambridge International Curriculum to children aged 2.5 to 19 years, from Kindergarten through Year 13. Our school community includes around 500 students from over 40 countries, supported by a diverse and experienced teaching staff from countries such as the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, Germany, and more.

    Role Overview : Classroom Teacher

    As a Classroom Teacher at GISU, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our students academically, socially, and emotionally. You will create a positive and safe learning environment, guide students daily, and help build a respectful and disciplined classroom culture.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Management :  Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Student Support :   Monitor student progress, behavior, and wellbeing; provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Communication :  Work closely with parents, colleagues, and school leaders to share information and support student success.
  • Student Leadership :  Organize student elections and encourage leadership opportunities.
  • Events & Activities :  Plan and supervise class events like trips, competitions, and celebrations.
  • Attendance :  Track student attendance and follow up on absences or lateness.
  • Reporting :  Prepare and share student progress reports and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
  • School Standards :  Uphold school policies on punctuality, uniform, and behavior.
