Regional Sales Director Uganda
Job Description :
The position will be responsible for delivering the sales objectives for the East Africa region, primarily through :
Accountability : Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Management
- Stay abreast of industry trends, role players and in country opportunities and challenges to ensure that the business is well positioned to deliver on sales and service targets.
- Identify strategic role players and stakeholders and engage all stakeholders and role players to understand changes to strategy, regulations and markets.
- Review and design of the optimal sales models, enablers and deliver on required changes to ensure the business maintains a competitive sales advantage, meet client expectations, reduce cost, and improve profitability.
- Drive the development and tracking of tactical plans and scorecards / KPIs and take corrective actions where required.
- Develop and execute go to market plans.
- Effectively communicating the value propositions through meetings, proposals and presentations.
- Mobilize sales resources and stakeholders at regional and country level.
- Support Group Head of Sales to establish a Sales Centre of Expertise that continuously drives performance through best practices in the region.
- Assist in building Sales Capability and Bench Strength (people, process, systems, risk & compliance) across the business.
- Embed Customer aligned Sales Campaigns that deliver outcomes in accordance with respective markets objectives and required product mix for enhancing the P&L position.
- Represent region and OPCO at EXCO updates and strategic planning sessions.
- Identify partnership opportunities within the region to provide feedback about solutions needed withing the region to significantly increase revenues.
Accountability : Drive Sales and Service Performance
Implement performance controls to proactively measure countries achievement against sales and service targets and address changes or non-performance.Proactive management of sales performance through development of key sales KPIs and reports by market, tracking and analysing trends.Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts and taking corrective actions as needed.Ensure 100% adoption of CRM solution across all business units, countries and users.Implement governance structures and stakeholder frameworks to ensure effective customer management and engagement.Develop business targets for sales in consultation with Regional Head, Country, Product Heads and Group EXCO members in accordance with CI business objective.Responsible for achieving annual sales targets as agreed.Ownership and achieving or exceeding West African regional and country specific annual sales targets.Assist in the development and delivery of sales tools and support required to optimize sales and service across the region.Develop and ensure alignment of performance management / incentives etc. processes to drive customer experience.Ensure sales plan integration across product lines and segments / industries.Designing plans to meet and exceed sales targets and executing both tactical and strategic plan in a dynamic marketplace.Accountability : Colleagues
Motivate, coach and guide the regional sales team through driving a high-performance sales culture, actively using various tools including commission plans.Accountability : Clients
Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives, engage with internal teams to provide solutions to them.Managing existing client relationships within the region to ensure customer service and satisfaction is achieved.NPS score alignment to group and responsible for adopting proactive strategies to address any detractors or concerns from a client perspective.Candidate Requirements :
Degree and Masters in business or commerce would be beneficialGood control of English (written and spoken).Proven sales management experience, meeting or exceeding targets.Previous experience as a sales director or manager.Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.Education and Experience Required
Honours Bsc-degree in Finance / Business Sciences or a related discipline10 years experience in the Financial Services sector5 years experience at a senior management levelKnowledge & Skills :
