On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced C OUNSELOR to work in Uganda (JINJA).
Working Relationships

Ensures strong stewardship of resources and assets. Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients under Imprint Hope’s program, as directed by your supervisor.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-informed care, in relation to your work with beneficiaries under Imprint Hope’s program.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the client’s history, challenges, support system and emotional needs.
Establish a trusting and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship with clients.
In collaboration with your supervisor, create personalized treatment plans based on client assessments, considering their unique needs, history, and personal goals.
Ensure appropriate record keeping and confidentiality.
Empower clients to build coping strategies, self-care routines, and resilience skills.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards related to confidentiality and documentation at all times.
Provide culturally competent care by respecting and understanding the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences of clients.
Tailor therapeutic approaches to be sensitive to cultural, religious, and socioeconomic factors.
Educate others (such as organizations, schools, or community groups) about trauma-informed care.
Assist in training new staff on trauma-informed therapeutic practices.
Stay updated on the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and trauma-related issues.
Participate in ongoing training and supervision to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
