If you make USh 100,000 a year living in Uganda, you will be taxed USh 5,000. That means that your net pay will be USh 95,000 per year, or USh 7,917 per month. Your average tax rate is 5.0% and your marginal tax rate is 5.0%. This marginal tax rate means that your immediate additional income will be taxed at this rate. For instance, an increase of USh 100 in your salary will be taxed USh 5, hence, your net pay will only increase by USh 95.
A USh 1,000 bonus will generate an extra USh 950 of net incomes. A USh 5,000 bonus will generate an extra USh 4,750 of net incomes.
