The Role

Role Overview :

We are currently seeking Forensic Document Examiners with regional expertise across Africa to support our legal and human rights work. This is a remote, freelance opportunity ideal for professionals with a background in forensic science and document analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and analyze official documents for authenticity and consistency
• Prepare professional written opinions and reports suitable for legal proceedings
• Provide expert commentary and insight into document formats, issuance processes, and potential irregularities in your country(ies) of expertise
• Assess authenticity, detect forgery or tampering, and produce clear written expert reports
• Analyze official documents such as passports, ID cards, civil records, certificates, and legal documents
• Collaborate with legal teams, researchers, and expert networks on a case-by-case basis
