Job Location : -Uganda, Africa

Education Qualification :  Diploma / Degree in Textile Technology or equivalent.

Experience :  10–15 years in weaving, with minimum 5 years in managerial role.

Job Description :  -

• Responsible for  overseeing rapier, airjet, and waterjet loom operations (ITEMA, Toyota, Sulzer, Thudokoms), including optimal settings, quick changeovers, preventive maintenance, and minimizing breakdowns.
• Developing highquality suiting and shirting fabrics (PV, PC, polyester, 100% cotton), and maintaining strict control over GSM, width, weave, and shade uniformity in collaboration with QA and processing teams.
• Achieving and maintaining loom efficiency above 95% through KPI tracking (warp / weft breaks, utilization, fabric rejection, downtime) and implementing continuous improvement approaches such as Kaizen, 5S, and TPM.
• Evaluating incoming yarn quality (TPI, strength, CV%, hairiness), and providing technical feedback for better yarn sourcing and enhanced loom performance.
• Leading and training an African workforce of loom operators—building a disciplined, skilled, and accountable production team.
• Operating SAP (PP / PM) to manage production planning, log breakdowns, ensure material traceability, and generate daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports                     Please share your cv on rashmi@uhr.co.in
