Job Summary :
Reporting to the Vice President for Technical Engagement, the regional technical Engagement Manager will represents ICANN in operational and technical forum in Asia Pacific (APAC) region. In coordination with other regional engagement functions of ICANN, particularly the Global Stakeholder Engagement and Government Engagement teams she / he will lead the execution of the technical engagement strategy in the region. While working closely with the entire CTO’s Office team, this role will implies authonomy in developping technical trainings, presentations, projects / activities implementation as part of the Technical Engagement Strategy.
Key Responsibilities & Duties :
- Support, manage an Lead Technical Engagement initiatives and projects within the Office of the CTO and across the organization.
- Identify and manage technical engagement opportunities in Asia and Pacific regions in coordination with, the regional Global Stakeholders Engagement (GSE) and Governments Engagement (GE) teams.
- Design, produce, plan and deliver training and capacity building programs across the region in line with the regional engagement strategy.
- Maintain all necessary equipment and materials relevant to an effective delivery and measurement of training and capacity building activities.
- Develop tools, material and programm to explain Internet technical operation to legislators.
- Manage relevant technical engagement cooperation agreements with peer organizations and third parties in Asia Pacific Region.
- Lead programs, projects, or initiatives to disseminate Security, Stability and Resiliency’s best practices for the Internet’s systems of unique identifiers in APAC region. Ensure effective communication of key ICANN technical messages.
- Monitor published technical documents, blogs, social media postings, etc., and relay relevant and significant content to the regional community.
- Monitor regional technical events calendars and identify events where ICANN technical work or issue relevant to its strategic goal can be presented, and coordinate with organizers to secure participation as appropriate.
- Contribute to the regular and consolidated Technical Engagement reporting process.
- Support the work of the Vice President for Technical Engagement to establish strategy, planning and execution for ICANN's external technical engagement programs in MEA region.
- Relay technical topics that need close attention and / or a formal position from ICANN to Vice President for Technical Engagement.
- Support other relevant activities as identified by the Vice President for Technical Engagement as requested

Good understanding of the Internet Protocol (IPv4 & IPv6) technology and associated services such as DNS, DNSSEC, WHOIS.Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts, particularly those related to the operation of the Internet.Good understanding of ICANN’s Technical ecosystem.Be a seasoned facilitator and trainer capable of imparting knowledge and skills to meet ICANN technical capacity building objectives.Sound judgment, diplomatic skills, and tact when interacting with various stakeholders.Good understanding of ICANN’s technical mission and a general understanding of the Internet Governance ecosystem.Ability to communicate complex and often controversial information, concepts, policies and positions, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external audiences.Good project management skills, ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks.Ability to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.Self-motivated, ability to work independently.Ability to work in a globally distributed organization and Coordinate project / work with team members using online tools.Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills, including ability to work and interact in a multi-cultural and globally distributed team.Setting and meeting tight project deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Multitasking abilities.Education and Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, Study in Computer Science, IT Management or a related field desired.Minimum Twelve (12) years working in technology driven organization.A minimum of 3 years of operational experience in Internet services delivery - particulare;y the DNS.Prior international experience is strongly preferred along with working for a global organization.Previous Experience in Community driven Organization.Experience within an Internet Technical Coordination organization strongly preferred.Language :
Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required.Fluent written and spoken language skills in any of the other official United Nations languages is strongly preferred.Working Conditions & Physical Requirements :
