PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Key area
- Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks Revenue generation and growth in all business lines
- Develop and implement effective strategies and initiatives to generate revenue at the branch.
- To formulate and implement pipelines management systems and ensure their control and periodic reviews
- Increase quotation conversion rates through targeted sales strategies and follow-ups that are tracked weekly
- Ensure 85% renewal retention rate for all business lines by maintaining customer loyalty through service improvements
- Onboard new Intermediaries to grow business
- Open up new markets and distribution channels e.g. local check offs for Ordinary Life
- Ensure prudent underwriting and proactive claims oversight to sustain acceptable loss ratios in line with company standards.
- Enhance Product portfolio diversification through cross-selling and upselling
- Raise the company’s profile and enhance its visibility by positioning it strategically within the region for a bigger market share.
- Strategic lobbying and negotiation for tender businesses
- Lead branch-level market intelligence gathering and coordinate competitive quotation inputs to support timely and well-informed underwriting decisions for tenders and non-tender business.
- Support marketers in the presentations and other logistics to deliver business.
Salesforce effectiveness
Provide leadership and support to the staff, sales and marketing team by driving the implementation of the corporate strategy, through training and motivation to achieve the organizational objectivesEnsure bi-weekly morning huddles and pipeline management discussions for all producers in the branchEnsure product training to Financial advisors, Marketing Executives, BSO, wealth advisors and underwritersInculcate a high performing culture to the branch sales teams through mentoring and guidancePerformance review and strategy meeting with producers to monitor progress Business processesConsistently monitor and provide market intelligence reports and identify potential for both business acquisition and strategic planningCollaborate in product development for customized products to suit particular regional needsPrepare regular and periodic reports to management that provide the overall strategic performance of the department-topline and bottom lineSupport the development of branch targets and strategic plans that align with corporate priorities and performance expectationsPlanning for the branch budgetsConduct market activations and business promotions in liaison with PR team to increase brand visibilityEfficient management of company resources Enhance Stakeholders & Intermediary engagementsRecruit, train and motivate intermediaries for business growthOrganize and represent the company in all relevant forums e.g.cooperative societies AGMs, leader’s meetings and seminars
Enhance relationships and engagements with Cooperative entities, Key clients, Agents & Brokers through visitations and communicationConduct planned intermediary training sessions and on need basisIdentify and recommend strategic partnershipsReview and recommend sponsorships Internal processes and customer serviceMake interventions in the branch to maintain the established customer service standardsDeveloping and maintaining good working relationships with intermediaries and customers and delivering good customer service by responding swiftly to their queries and concerns.To oversee customer service delivery, maintenance and improvement of service standards in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.Administratively handling all the branch matters by acting as the CEO of the branchAssisting the regional manager as and when assigned roles Policy & ComplianceEnsure full credit control policy complianceEnsuring compliance with set underwriting guidelines and standardsEnsure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements at the branch level e.g.local authority licensing etc.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
