Sokoni Africa Limited is looking for a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving and inspection of goods delivered to the company. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all products and supplies meet the required standards and are accurately documented.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against purchase orders
- Verify quantities received and maintain accurate records in inventory management systems
- Report discrepancies, damages, or issues with shipments to the appropriate departments
- Coordinate with vendors for return or exchange of damaged goods
- Organize and store received items in designated locations
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations during the receiving process
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferredPrevious experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse role is an advantageStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office SuiteGood communication skills and ability to work effectively with various departmentsAbility to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as needed
